While paralegals in Ontario are limited in the scope of immigration law services they may provide under the Law Society of Ontario, we are able to assist you in the following ways: Document Preparation and Review Helping you complete and review immigration forms and supporting documents to ensure accuracy before submission. Affidavits, Notarizations & Statutory Declarations Preparing and commissioning affidavits and declarations often required in immigration processes. Certified Translations Providing certified translations of immigration-related documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas, etc.) into English or Spanish. Procedural Guidance Explaining the steps of common immigration processes and ensuring you understand what documents and timelines are required. Referrals to Licensed Immigration Consultants and Lawyers We can represent you before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), but if your matter requires legal representation before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or Federal Court, we can connect you with trusted professionals who are authorized to represent you. What We Cannot Do It is important to note that only licensed immigration consultants (CICC members) or lawyers can: Represent clients directly before IRCC, or Federal Court. Give legal advice on immigration strategy or eligibility Submit applications or appeals on your behalf At RA Legal Solutions, we focus on what we are authorized to provide: document preparation, notarization, translation, and procedural support, always ensuring compliance with regulations while giving you peace of mind that your paperwork is correct and complete.
